PERC Usage Guidelines
The Presbyterian Event & Retreat Center (aka the PERC) is owned and operated by First Presbyterian Church of Auburn, NY. We are a body of Christ-following Believers who adhere to the unadulterated Word of God. We are also a private institution with a non-profit 501 (c) (3) status.
We are not a facility directly open to the public, but we do offer, after approval of the Administrative Director of the PERC, space for public and private events and lodging for groups or individuals for reasonable usage fees.
We ask all who are approved to use this facility for events and/or lodging to agree not to violate the following guidelines derived from our statement of faith set forth by this church.
1. Users may only enter and use those areas of the facilities that have been reserved, unless otherwise accompanied by a PERC associate.
2. Food and Beverages are restricted to certain areas.
3. Alcohol (such as wine or beer) may not be brought or served on church property without the approval of the Administrative Director beforehand. No liquor is allowed. No exceptions.
4. Smoking/Vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the facility.
5. Pets are not allowed inside the facility, except service animals, and only after approval from the Administrative Director of the PERC.
6. Regarding lodging, only friends, related family members, or married couples may share the same overnight lodging room. (*married couples = a biological man and a biological woman) No exceptions.
7. We ask everyone to respect this facility and the surrounding property as if it were their own home.
8. Church equipment and furnishings must be returned to their original placement unless arranged otherwise prior to the event.
9. Abusive or foul language, violent behavior, and drug or alcohol abuse are strictly prohibited on PERC premises.
The “Usage Guidelines” above are necessary to maintain our ability to open this beautiful facility to those outside of our church who will find their time here to be a very pleasant and peaceful experience.
